Towards the end of the Prophet’s life, the number of his Companions, the first Muslims, exceeded 100,000. The Advice and Counsels he gave to these Muslims individually and in groups during his twenty-three year period of messengership have been recorded in authentic books of hadith. A selection of approximately one hundred such ahadith is presented here in contemporary English.
